Repeat prescriptions can be requested on a monthly basis for chronic stable conditions for up to a maximum of 6 months. Beyond this period. a medical review is necessary and our receptionists can arrange a suitable appointment time upon request.
The patient will be given one reminder to book a review appointment with a member of our clinical team. If a patient is unable to arrange this appointment, they will be unable to obtain their medication until they have been reviewed by a GP or practice nurse.
If you are on a regular medication, you can request your new supply in one of the following ways:
- By handing over a repeat prescription request form (i.e. the green tear off slip with your prescription) to the receptionist at the front desk.
- By post.
Procedure for ordering and collecting a repeat prescription
We can only issue medications on the due date, we therefore ask you to double check the medications you are requesting prior to ordering them.
Please ensure that the items you require are requested clearly, by ticking the appropriate box on the repeat request form. If you do not have a repeat request form, please ask the receptionist to print a repeat card for you.
Prescriptions can then be collected at the front desk or they can be sent to your home if you send a stamped self-addressed envelope with the request.
We receive a high volume of prescription requests and therefore please note that 48 hours notice is required for repeat prescription requests.
